We believe missions is the heart of God!
Matthew 28:19 declares “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
It is our desire to obey this great commission to the best of our ability. In order to do this, we have taken the approach laid out for us in Scripture found in Acts 1:8.
This verse declares: “but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth”
We believe this verse calls us to rely on the power of the Spirit to be witnesses of Jesus Christ locally first and then spreading out to the farthest reaches of the earth. This is done at CBC through local outreach and missions projects as well as financially and prayerfully supporting men and women who go to the farthest reaches of the earth and make disciples.
We hope you will be involved in missions here at Cornerstone Baptist Church. We encourage you to start locally by being a missionary yourself in your own community and within your own sphere of influence. Secondly, we ask you to prayerfully consider giving financially to our mission movement. We believe God truly has called us to go into all the world and we invite you to come along!
“Community Outreach”
We believe that Cornerstone Baptist Church has been called to serve the local community in meaningful and tangible ways. We continually search for ways to be active in the community!
We have participated in many activities, too numerous to name, and will continue to reach out to our “Jerusalem, Judea, (and) Samaria” as the Lord leads! We love Lawrenceville, Grayson, and Gwinnett County!
